In all honesty, I am not often moved to offer any special thanks to the various vendors and contractors who work with the Utility. On this project, though, the above mentioned gentlemen [the project manager and site foremen] and all of C.D. Smith’s workers really earned our appreciation and gratitude for a job well done.

Cost: $106 million
Architect: BSA
This 3-story addition adjoins existing buildings that were constructed in 1976 and a wing added in 1987. This building brings in much needed office areas along with more private offices, conference rooms, restrooms on each level and a tiered training room. The stadium was built in 1917 and has been largely unchanged since 1966. The renovation and addition sustains the energetic atmosphere while adding roughly 5,000 seats to increase the capacity to approximately 80,000. Features include:
1) Expansion of the third-level concourse. The addition contains 72 private suites, 300 premium club seats and 625 club seats, as well as offices for UW coaches and administrators.
2) A 70,000 square foot office complex in the southeast corner of Camp Randall.
3) A new seating bowl at the south end of the field.
4) Installation of a new video scoreboard, sound system and field lighting.
5) Expansion and renovation of the lower west concourse.
6) Renovation of the lower east tunnel area, and
7) Replacement of the artificial turf on the field.
