AGC of Wisconsin Acknowledges C.D. Smith Construction
The Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin honored two recently completed projects by C.D. Smith at its annual awards ceremony in early December. C.D. Smith’s Jesse Steger Wins the BAC International Apprentice Contest
Jesse Steger won the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (BAC) 2009 International Apprentice Contest in the cement finishing category. The contest brought 100 finalists from 5 regions to compete in eight specialized craft categories. Steger, a member of the BAC with C.D. UW-La Crosse Centennial Hall Construction Underway
C.D. Smith Construction is providing construction services for UW - La Crosse’s Centennial Hall Academic Building. The $44 million, 180,000 square foot building will contain 46 technologically enhanced general assignment classrooms ranging in size from 40 to 250 seats. C.D. Smith Begins YMCA Construction
C.D. Smith recently broke ground on a new 120,000 square foot multi-level YMCA in Fond du Lac. The $12.5 million dollar project includes two full-size gymnasiums, two full size racquetball courts, two swimming pools, a healthy lifestyle area for fitness training, and spaces for The Boys & Girls Club and the YMCA’s licensed childcare/early learning center. The project is expected to be complete in the Fall of 2010.
